I made the decision a couple of weeks ago to join my wonderful friend Caroline Sharkey, to go together to the QuiltNSW Exhibition and Show for 2022. We’ve done this in the past prior to Covid, so it’s not unusual.
I did manage to get 2 pieces in that came back from AQS (American Quilters Society) in Des Moines, USA, in a nick of time. Arrangements made to pass it on to Catherine Butterworth whom dropped them off to judging. Well that was worth it and I’d like to thank all who helped with organising that. Great news is that both of them received an award!
What can I say? It’s just been such a great month in receiving accolades for my works both here and in the USA.
‘Creating Magic‘ received another award, being a 1st in Pictorial Category. ‘Shape I’m In‘ receiving a Judges Commendation in Pieced Professional. How wonderful and I’m so very grateful, to QuiltNSW Guild. A special mention to the sponsors Juke Jema Quilting Barn in Nowra, NSW.
Had a great time catching up with people I we hadn’t seen for a couple of weeks (Bernina Academy) or for years because of Covid. Great show, good fun and next year it will held again at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in September, 15th to 17th, 2023.
